Four Qualities Of Great Entrepreneurs

YoungUpstarts

By Trevor Blake, author of “ Three Simple Steps: A Map to Success in Business and Life “ I have found that many entrepreneurs struggle with the same basic difficulties. We are often so caught up in our own ideas that we forget the aspects that are essential to our success. This is not to say that we should not be enthusiastic; on the contrary, you want to be excited and confident in whatever it is you are doing.

Don’t Tell Me Your History In Chronological Order

Feld Thoughts

I meet a lot of people. I hear a lot of people introduce themselves. I interview a lot of people. Sometimes I want to hear their story; most of the time I don’t. I’ve realized recently that I’m tired of hearing histories. And I’m tired of telling mine. It’s easy to find out most by a simple search on the web. Or a scan through LinkedIn.

Memorise this

Start Up Blog

The most outdated form of learning is memorising. Other than the ability to write and speak – it’s hard for me to see a future for memorising anything when I have access to the knowledge of the world, in real time, in my pocket. So why do we still ask kids to memorise lists, States, Ex Presidents and the first 20 elements of the periodic table?

What I want to address today are the practices, some not always associated with sales jobs, required to excel in the new sales environment.

Does Your Startup Business Need an Audit?

Early Growth Financial Services

Often I work with business owners who think their company is in need of a traditional audit. My first question for them is always…why? In some cases, the high level of assurance of an audit is required and no other substitute will do. Third parties, like investors and lenders, may insist on assurance that the financial statements they are basing their decisions on accurately represent the state of your financial condition.

Dropbox and Evernote are OS independent…and I love that.

Jeff Hilimire

In the past, I’ve wanted Apple or Google to acquire Dropbox and Evernote, two of my tools of choice. It’s crazy, by the way, how much I love and use these two tools. I thought how nice it would be if the seemingly perpetually half-baked iCloud services would act more like Dropbox. And don’t get me started on how much better Evernote is than any note-taking apps out there, particularly Apple’s iOS embedded Notes app.
