I flew from San Diego (where I was visiting for Thanksgiving) to New York to persuade investors to stick with us. The investors of our competitor agreed to a merger and we were going to raise $15 million between the two companies. By the time of my wedding in July 2002 I was super fit. We were weeks from bankruptcy.
