We had been talking for months about expanding into either Charlotte or South Florida. Looking back on that decision, I really believe if we had gone forward with opening a second office that we never would have had the amazing exit we had in 2008. It was 2005 and we were 25 people, up from half that the year before.

I met Raj in college at UNC-Charlotte in 1996. I can ensure you that he had more fun in his one semester at UNC-Charlotte than I did during my entire time. The hardest part of that, as it turns out, is walking away from Raj for the first time in 15 years. Paired together as roommates, we were the most unlikely of friends.
