When I was there in October 2012 with my partners Ryan and Jason to run the Detroit Marathon we talked about the idea of getting more involved there in some way. My partners and I believe that Detroit hit rock bottom around 2012 and in a decade has the potential to be an amazing city once again. I’m fascinated with Detroit.

just before the end of 2011 so their first real year in the market was in 2012. When the iPhone and iTouch came out, there was an incredible shift to mobile devices for games. Their first product will “reinvent the ball” through the creation of a robotic ball controlled by a smart phone. They shipped Sphero 1.0

Techstars has launched another “powered by” accelerator, this time with Sprint around mobile health. I’m an enormous fan of four things about the Sprint Accelerator – what we call “PBTS” (powered by Techstars), mobile health, Kansas City, and Sprint. Kansas City has a special place in my heart.

Over $8 billion dollars will be spent on the upcoming 2012 election. I received at least one email a day last week pitching a politics oriented web startup. The emails start off something like this. The web and social media are critical tools for any candidate.

It’s 2012 and the “contact information problem” is getting exponentially worse. While all the technology has changed, the problem has gotten substantially worse, as every web-based and mobile app now has some kind of contact info associated with it. to try to manage the contacts across the company.
