On Monday, Kevin Baxpehler and I hosted the UK Israel Business investor delegation to Tel Aviv, and today I spent the morning with the 8200 EISP startup delegation to London where I was joined by Kirsten Connell (Cylon Lab, Managing Director) Simon Menashy (MMC Ventures, General Partner). In a nutshell, the program provides startups with $20,000, office space, account and legal help as well as a small network of mentors, all of which are aimed to help the companies get to a proof of concept. The cost for the startups is 10% of their equity, which is taken by the fund GeekVentures I as payment.

B ootstrapping can be really hard for some early stage startups, but Israeli startup Enigmai , makes it seem easy. Our beta process was in Israel and we’ve approached VCs only in Israel. We are starting to think about business partnerships and affiliates. Financial reasons (israel has really expensive taxes).
