Kaptur is an online solution that allows users to aggregate, store and share photos, videos and status updates from various social media platforms easily. Founded in 2007 by a team of engineers from media companies such as ESPN and MTV, New York-based Kaptur integrates content such as photos, videos and even tweets from Facebook, Twitter, YouTube and Flickr into a single, easy-to-view format.

The service works pretty much like an online personal scrap-booking journal to compile your online social memories, which Kaptur president and founder Tejpaul Bhatia says helps to “create comprehensive and time synchronized collective memories around events.

It’s experienced significant growth due to the many partnership deals with other online sites and media companies such as RecreateMyNight.com and EMI Records. It even recently kicked off its memory sharing platform for the wedding community by “capturing” the largest wedding celebration ever to take place through a partnership with Get Married Media, which included millions of live guests on New Year’s Eve in Times Square. Another partnership is GayWeddings.com, which lets the LGBT community to use the service for free.
