Asia’s Top 50 Apps is back for the second year running and looks set to be bigger and better! One of the Asia region’s leading award competitions that recognizes innovation in the white-hot web and mobile application spaces, Asia’s Top 50 Apps last year saw saw more than a thousand submissions of which 100 web and mobile applications from 10 countries nominated. Past winners – such as mig33, TwitCasting and Zopim – have since gone on to be successful enterprises in their respective spaces.
Presented by SingTel Innovation Exchange (SiX) as part of Accelerate@Techventure 2011 and organized by Asia web technology community and blog e27, Asia’s Top 50 Apps is currently open for public voting. The
50 apps with the most votes will be shortlisted as this year’s Asia’s Top 50 Apps, while the app with the most votes will also be awarded the “People’s Choice Award”.
Furthermore, a selected panel of judges will evaluate the Top 50 Apps and award them based on the following categories:
1. Most Valuable App – Also known as the App of the Year, the winner will be judged on overall Technology, Business and Design Innovation,
similar to last year
2. Rookie App of the Year – The best App of 2011 by a new enterprise/startup
3. Solution of the Year – Hits a pain point on the spot. Innovate by providing the simplest solution to a difficult problem
4. Design of the Year – Sexiest looking app, one with the best user interface and experience.
Voting is open till October 10, 2011, so go and vote now!
If only there’s a summary intro to each of the apps on the voting page, that’ll be much easier than visiting each of the app maker’s web site separately.
