Convertible notes were previously used primarily for “inside rounds” in which the existing investors provide you with bridge financing to get to the next round. Not in my experience. Lawyers don’t make money on your seed round in any instance. They are investing in your relationship in hopes that you do an A, B and C round. Employment.
