Speed keeps cash burn rate down while allowing you to converge on a repeatable and scalable business model. Having a coder as part of the founding team is essential. A founding web/mobile team without a coder past the initial stages of Customer Discovery is not a startup. All great in theory but simply wrong.

Companies raised too much money in 2005-08 and had high burn rates. But you’d have to be a pretty heads-down coder to not have noticed the past 2+ weeks in the DJIA. When this period was fresh, in Sept 2009, I wrote a very detailed assessment of what I thought had just happened. tl;dr summary. So no new deals got done.

He’s a coder himself and believes that any problem can be solved. Our burn rate is very low and the technology is very scalable. Uploading downloading, saving files, connect it with cables here and there, facing compatibility issues… a mess. He then thought, let’s rethink how we share and view the whole media.
