This company was SBT Accounting Systems, based in San Rafael, California. There were no PowerPoint slides. I remember my first board meeting for a company I joined as an outside board member. I flew to San Francisco from Boston, stayed overnight in the city, and drove over the Golden Gate Bridge.

We did this as part of Defy Ventures , an entrepreneurship, employment, and character development training program for currently and formerly incarcerated men, women, and youth.
