I’ve got many daily reference points from products that I use for real-time communication channels: Slack, Telegram, Signal, iMessage, Zoom, Voxer, Mighty, and of course, email. While my iMessage is noisy, it’s calmed down a lot given wiring up some other stuff to the right channels. Love, Brad.

As more hardware companies start paying attention to revenue attach, following the lead of companies like Dropbox, Ring, and Peloton, there’s an obvious place for Sonos to do this. Or maybe special access to curated channels. I hope they are thinking hard about it, rather than fearing being disintermediated by Alexa.

That’s the power of compounding SaaS revenue. What is the composition and health of your channel? Will you get from $10m ARR to $100M ARR? I don’t know. Is an IPO in your future? But once you hit $10m in ARR or so, you cannot be killed by anything. And actually, as we’ll get to, $10m in ARR — this is when it really gets fun.

It went from an idea and a few founders to an almost $10 million revenue company, before growth peaked about a decade ago. Much of the book is through the eyes of Sylvie, who is expect is channeling some of Cindy’s wit, style, and personality, which is sharp and deliciously direct.

I continue to be obsessed about email – it’s by far the most significant comm channel I use. And – it’s accelerating, not decelerating, especially as it proliferates across devices as well as other comm channels. At the time we made our investment I asked Matthew if he wanted me to blog about it.
