CHARLOTTE — Charlotte police say officers found the body of a woman reported missing two weeks ago and are searching for her killer.
Local media outlets report Nia Hantzopoulos' body was found Tuesday after her car was found at a shopping center in Ballantyne, less than five miles from where she was last seen Dec. 15.
It's unclear where she was found. Charlotte-Mecklenburg police are not releasing details. An arrest warrant has been issued for a 44-year-old man.
The medical examiner is still determining how she died.
Family members told WSOC-TV that Hantzopoulos was on her way to sell jewelry at a flea market in Fort Mill, South Carolina, when she went missing.
