Authorities say six people suffered minor injuries after a fire on a moving sidewalk at Charlotte Douglas International Airport.
Charlotte Fire Capt. Rob Brisley told local media that the fire caused a lot of smoke between Concourse D and Concourse E around 1 p.m. Saturday. Fans were used to clear the air and monitors were being used to make sure it was safe to breathe.
Officials say the airport stayed open, but about three dozen flights were delayed.
The area between the concourses has reopened, but the moving sidewalk remains closed as firefighters try to determine what caused the blaze.
Paramedics say the six injured people were treated at the airport and released.
