Sooner or later, using PHP or RoR or.Net or some Java framework, that 0.5x As a developer, I feel that design/creative is undervalued in the early stages of product development. You don't need a self-designated 10x imbe.

Many projects fail because clients dont communicate the specs during the early stages. I myself have worked for a few overseas projects ( as a programmer ) so I can relate to the need for better documentation and communication from the clients side. This will result ( most likely ) result in a bad designed system.
