The two companies had been working together for a while, especially as both are deeply embedded within the Ruby on Rails developer community, with a strong following for their respective offerings.

Already, a handful of groups have spun out to start new ventures, like the teams at Driftt , Bedrock Data , Grokky , and NextView-backed InsightSquared.

In his Boston-based career, he’s also worked for Google and local startup Dailybreak, in addition to co-founding the community group Boston Content which has grown to hundreds of members.
