Show me how much each unique visitor is going to cost you in search engine optimization and pay-per-click search engine expense. If you’re a Web-based startup, for example, show me how many unique visitors you think you can get in the beginning, and what you’re using for an estimated conversion rate (buyers to browsers).

I used this when I taught software engineering. And the person is trying to get it from mostly done to done with little additional cost. There's an old adage in software development that I refer to all the time: The first 90% of development takes 90% of the time. The remaining 10%, takes the other 90% of the time.

Often you can't tell if something like a search engine or matching algorithm is really going to have better results until you use it. How much is it costing you to get users? But often the result of a Founder hiring a developer or lead developer or even a VP engineering is a gap created between the founders and the developers. We can likely provide technical strategy help at little to no cost, but hard core development generally requires that you have found someone to do it for you for equity or that you have some capital available (think $50K+). or hard core engineering (new devices) then the CTO (Chief Scientist) means something else entirely.
