Piercing the Corporate Veil of Sweat Equity

This is my least favorite thing in the world, being offered sweat equity in a corporate structure that is unnecessarily convoluted. I already own stock in two companies which own no intellectual property. Which corporate entity owns the intellectual property and other assets? It hasn’t worked out well for me.
