That said, I have some of my stock portfolio in hedge funds managed by folks I know (I know you are thinking Madoff at this point), and most in vehicles that are on auto-pilot. A small part of my portfolio is purely in speculative plays, but I believe in value investing over time. The arbitrage simply works. The same places as above.
