Java as a platform wasn't ready to deliver on client side. Some other points - LAMP,Net, Java - doesn't make much difference. By definition need redundancy.

So in the pay-per-use Network software distribution model, the user can always be using the most up-to-date version of the software. (Of I am completely sold on Java. So take for example a word-processor.

It is definitely written in a condescending manner. Sooner or later, using PHP or RoR or.Net or some Java framework, that 0.5x But you definitely need more than a beginner. Is Yelp a good place to find good technical co-founders? Is Google Inc. If they don't ask for any proof, the are certainly not a rockstar developer.
