Put Life Back In Business

Put life back in business

I have clarity on my life’s purpose. I wake up every morning knowing it. I go to bed every night thinking about it.

It took me about 40 years of life to find it (I’m 42 now). It took most of my 30’s of earnestly seeking it. And I suspect it will take the rest of my life to refine it and master it.

My Purpose

I have defined my life’s purpose: To inspire, teach and guide every person I can, to blossom into their authentic, genuine selves. My “job” is to help people flourish in authenticity.  Myself included.

My Unique Approach

My purpose pulls me forward. It’s like a relentless gravitational pull. But the energy needs to be channeled otherwise it is aimless. Therefore, I have defined my own unique approach to my life’s purpose.

I focus on entrepreneurs. I believe that business ownership is the ultimate platform of self expression, the ultimate platform for authenticity. It allows us to play out our own life’s purpose, to be our authentic selves, and to express ourselves at any level we choose.

Saying It Succinctly

I have developed my own business around my authentic self (you know, taking my own medicine). For it to be successful, I need to communicate everything I am about succinctly. I mean, I could share this particular blog post or variant of this message over and over, but it put people to sleep. It’s too much to absorb. Hence the need for a powerful tagline. Something that says it all in five words or less. Mine?

Put life back in business.

Put Life Back In Business

“Put life back in business.”  That’s my life’s purpose. That’s my approach. That’s my tagline.

Do you have a tagline? Did you create it because it’s catchy or clever? I don’t think that’s enough.

Get very clear on your life’s purpose. Determine how your business is serving your life’s purpose every single day. Then define how your approach is unique.

Once you know those things, your tagline – your succinct way of communication why you do what you do AND what makes you unique becomes very apparent.

  1. My tagline right now goes something like this: “Find your true purpose by seeking the pure truth, not through manipulation or lies”. I’m seeing this become more and more clear in my life right now.
