JAZZ AT NIGHT: I Don’t Stand a Ghost of a Chance performed by Clifford Brown & Max Roach - This is a jazz standard written by Victor Young, Ned Washington and Bing Crosby. It has been recorded numerous times by the litany of jazz icons, but I love this version. Brown’s trumpet simply melts you with its tenderness masking the incredibly complex chops he employs. Simply put, it is one of his best solos of many great moment during too short of a career. (via southernjourney)
