SATURDAY JAZZ BRUNCH: Snowfall performed by The Montgomery Brothers - Wes was the star and a legendary guitarist, but little do most people know that he was born into a musically gifted family. His brothers Monk (bass) and Buddy (piano, vibes) were also quite accomplished and the three recorded a number of albums together, the best of which by most opinions are the Groove Yard and Montgomery Brothers in Canada albums.
Well how convenient that they combined the two here, which made it easy to find today’s jazz brunch tune. While this jazz standard is an obvious pick, Snowfall is just a great track by the very talented Claude Thornhill. The brothers put down a laid back, smooth, relaxed track yet brilliant and lively all the same with some great interplay. Enjoy the snow, kick back, and relax!
