Raising Money: From Family and Friends, to Angels to VC’s
This is an invaluable event for entrepreneurs looking to understand the fundraising process from people that have tons of experience. The best thing about it is that it is free, as any good advice should be.
Like I said the other day, never pay for fundraising advice! There are so many great sources of information out there, from blogs to events like this one to helpful investors (here is a list of active NYC investors by Shai Goldman that you can contact), that it makes no sense to pay for this information. If we are really serious about supporting founders and the startup community, it begins with making the fundraising process more transparent and accessible.
I am looking forward to seeing more such events hosted at WeWork Labs and I highly recommend you reach out to Matt Shampine for an invite.
WilmerHale and WeWork Labs are pleased to present the 2011 Summer Legal Series. Attorneys from WilmerHale’s Corporate Practice will present and answer questions on various topics of interest to emerging companies and entrepreneurs.
