Twitter Revenue from Tools

SoCal CTO

Just read this article - Twitter sees tools, not ads, for revenue That could be really bad news. Part of the appeal of twitter is that it's a fairly open platform and that there are a lot of people building tools that live on top of the platform. If Twitter begins to charge for tools, they will likely need to lock away aspects of their platform to prevent other people from creating competitors to the tools they create.

Chickenfoot: Live at the Fillmore

Pascal's View

Are you ready for Joe Satriani, Sammy Hagar, Michael Anthony, and Chad Smith in a new band? Then you are ready for Chickenfoot.  I just caught the third show of their debut world tour tonight.  It was an early homecoming for Bay Area locals Satriani and Hagar, and Chickenfoot rocks!  The sound combines elements of Van Halen with vintage Satriani guitar solos in a hard driving, grass roots American rock sound that leaves your foot thumping and your fists in the air.  The s

Subscribe to Marketing.fm on your Kindle

Eric Friedman

Image via CrunchBase. Amazon is now allowing bloggers to add their blogs to the Kindle directory to let people subscribe. I added Marketing.fm to the Kindle Subscription Directory to test out the implementation and see how it all worked. For the record, my blog is FREE via RSS and email delivery, so paying for it seems silly. They are charging $1.99 for this feature, and rev. share with publishers 30/70 where 30% will go to the publisher – so about $0.60 per month.

Major Victory for Jewish Religious Pluralism in Israel: Reform and Conservative Conversions Will Finally Be Recognized by The State of Israel

Congratulations to the Israel Religious Action Center for their tireless efforts!  This is a big deal! Excuse Me– Have You Seen My Hard Drive?

Pascal's View

Believe it or not, according to a report from the Washington Post , “ the National Archives lost a computer hard drive containing a large amount of sensitive data from the Clinton administration, including Social Security numbers, addresses, and Secret Service and White House operating procedures, congressional officials said yesterday.”. Apparently, the drive was lost between October and March, and it contained one terabyte of data — enough material to fill millions of books… Accord
