Nothing essential that I disagree with you in your post, but when read by other people with minimal software engineering experience, they can have too high expectations. Would love to hear your insights sometime into how to partner with engineers. Dont go C or Java, python is good for prototyping and easier to learn.

Why do you think outsources have been happy to generate all this PR the past few years about people losing their jobs to India? Remember Java? Now your crappy resume and low-grade references become a strength: youre obviously not wasting money on marketing. They must be thinking "if its costing people their jobs, it must really work.

Firebase : Are all your developers front-end engineers? t have time to learn iOS or Java during the weekend. Google Custom Search Engine. Aptana Cloud (svn, IDE, php, java, rails etc…). Google App Engine. Search Engine Optimization Tools. Check them out. No need for back end! Very responsive.
