In Europe, software is already deemed not patentable, and other parts of the world are somewhere in between. We need a global solution. Different rules around the world. What I have described so far is the situation in the US. In some countries, software patents are not recognized, and in others they are not enforced.

The European/International counterpart to the ACA Summit, the annual EBAN Congress rotates among different countries in Europe. There is probably a 25% overlap in attendance between the two conferences, with the leaders of the largest North American and international angel groups (known as BANs in Europe) typically attending both.

The goal was to share our experiences in the realm of angel investing with an array of global audiences, by participating in various lectures, discussions and workshops. We found Tallinn to be both a delightful place to visit and the best preserved medieval city in Northern Europe. We also discovered that Estonians love to sing.
