The Metaverse, a virtual universe where people can interact with each other in a 3D environment, is rapidly gaining traction as an emerging market, attracting businesses, investors, and talent from all over the world. Even though Finland offers free and high-quality education, it cannot compete with Silicon Valley regarding salaries.

The last few months have been an unprecedented time for entrepreneurs and startup founders on the market. Tech scale-up has been a massive driver for the local startup ecosystem, and non-VC or angel investing is also a growing market here. The country boasts one of the largest economies in the world and in Latin America.

To my surprise, the ideas and technology behind that startups were not superior to the ones we have in Finland. The market is larger, less fragmented, the consumers are earlier adopters. Countries such as the UK , Russia and Finland are trying to replicate its ecosystem, to stimulate their local industries. Cultural Edge.
