I was a judge at last night’s 59 days of code startup competition here in Fresno. Join nearly 6,000 startup entrepreneurs by subscribing to my RSS feed. Teams had 59 days to create a killer app. One that solves a problem, is marketable, and demos well. Overall it was an impressive showing of local talent.

Jake Soberal and Irma Olguin started Bitwise in 2013 with the idea that the technology industry could be used to fix a city--in their case, Fresno, CA. Seven years later, they've trained about 5,000 students and created over 1,000 new technology jobs in Fresno. A company headquartered in Fresno, California.
