I noticed that NPR is streaming her new album and it reminded me of how far she has come from her days in the Dixie Chicks. Now I have never been a fan of the Dixie Chicks, but this recent quote was worth posting. It took an enormous amount of bravery to stand by her criticism of President George W. Bush at a time when blind patriotism overtook much of the country during the run up to the Iraq War.
