METAL MONDAY: Harvester of Sorrow by Metallica - One of the sports that never seems to get much coverage in the Olympics is wrestling. Besides the fact that the US tends to only have a couple of medal hopefuls every Olympics (congrats to Jordan Burroughs and Jake Varner), it just gets crowded out by more popular sports and Ryan Seacrest interviews.
This was my song before wrestling meets during high school. I always had butterflies in my stomach before matches and blaring this through my headphones, usually on repeat, helped me focus right before the match. Even if I thought this was one of the weaker Metallica albums (where is the bass), Harvester of Sorrow is one of the tracks I still play on a regular basis off …And Justice for All.
