Lessons Learned by Eric Ries Monday, January 12, 2009 Why PHP won When I first learned to program on the web, Perl + CGI was the dominant platform. But by the time I was building my first websites for commercial use , PHP had taken over. Writing unit tests or mock objects in PHP is an exercise in constant frustration. Thank you.

Hiring a Chief Editor for a New Montreal Tech Startup Site
The budget will be used to pay the Chief Editor, potentially pay other writers, infrastructure (site design, hosting, etc.) If you can hack around a bit in PHP all the better. About 2 months ago I put out a suggestion that we bring Montreal Tech Watch back to life or something similar to it. certainly wish him the best! Opportunistic.
