Another pro-tip – Keep everything short – small up-front capital requirement, short sales cycles, short payment terms and recurring revenue cycles. They would focus on being able to sustain without any funding and manage their overheads in a manner that they are able to manage with little or no funding.

Dr. Atul Gawande has a fascinating article on the BetterBirth Project, a rare successful effort to promote behavior change, in this case in reducing infant mortality in India. As he observes, behavior change (such as prevention) is possible, it’s just expensive. Our medical problems are too severe for doctors alone to solve.
