Seed stage companies will mostly face questions around the team and market. They have probably done one or two meetings and some cursory internet research but are only 5-20% likely to actually invest. These are people who would vouch for you, but you only want to lean on for a small handful of high priority investors.

Let’s take an example – In the case of an internet or app business, the user traction and market penetration is a must. Bootstrapping inculcates the entrepreneurial discipline and financial responsibility to run a lean business. ? So, I would suggest that you bootstrap during the inception stage. ? Seed stage.
