For a very small fee they can get your Delaware C corp registration, make sure that you have IP protection and ensure you didn’t make an early bumbling mistakes that you’ll pay for dearly in the next 7-10 years of hard work.

If you have 8 well known, high quality angels with impeccable reputations then be as transparent as you like. Founder fighting, IP lawsuits, high-profile resignations, trouble fund raising, bad product release, 409a complications, community is rebelling against the CEO: You. I agree up to a point. Every great investor knows this.

I’ll skip any extra traffic that might have generated for me to preserve my reputation of not spamming people inadvertently with comments. I’m interested in the topic of “reputation management&# as espoused by Honestly.com. Maybe commenting systems could sort by reputation? Yes, I hate anonymity.

My gut says that she came 70% as a spoiler for Company A and 30% because GRP has a great reputation in this space. 6 months afterwards they laid off 75% of their staff and are existing on fumes to protect their IP to this day. She couldn’t stand the thought of her main competitor locking us (or anybody else) up as an investor.

To the contrary – if you know how to sell your own work, can negotiate good rates, network well, keep consistent work and have a great reputation – it can be very rewarding. They seed funded my second company and even let me buy some IP in exchange for debt to get started.
