Bottom line is that Square appears to have profitable customer acquisition and excellent retention, especially considering the inherent churn typically associated with serving SMBs. IMO it’ll continue to grow faster than PayPal for awhile, has pretty good margins and underlying customer metrics, and should achieve profitability soon.
