Required reading for my leadership team: The 5 Dysfunctions of a Team

Last week I gave my entire leadership team at Dragon Army a copy of the book, The Five Dysfunctions of a Team, by Patrick Lencioni.

While I hardly think we’re a dysfunctional team, this book is incredible for helping teams learn how to communicate more effectively, build trust, and achieve more. In my opinion, its a must read for anyone that works in a team environment.

Also, the style of writing is referred to as a “business fable”. Rather than a typical business book that can at times feel more like a research paper, Lencioni writes in a storytelling manner, bringing characters and scenarios to life that resonate with the reader. This is the same style that I’m writing my book in, and Lencioni was very much influential in that decision.

If you haven’t read any of Lencioni’s books, I recommend you check them out and pick one that you think is most relevant to your life!
