David Brown will become “Founder and CEO” instead of “Founder and co-CEO.” Personally, I love driving new product concepts, focusing on our investments and working closely with founders.

But we stayed after it and built a successful company that was consistently profitable and acquired by a public company in 1993 for a few million dollars. I reported to the two co-chairman and we quickly scaled up to 50 people in two offices.

By the end of 1994 I had a staff job, reporting to the co-chairmen of AmeriData where I travelled all over the US helping with acquisitions and generally causing trouble. But we came very close to moving to Homer in 1995. We were living in Boston at the time.
