March Magic in Austin offers so much amazing content — browse the online schedule to find all the Solo Presentations, Panels, Book Readings and Workshops. SXSW also offers some of the world’s top networking opportunities.

Eight intriguing Meet Ups on the lineup for the 2018 event are as follows:

  1. 55 and Up Meet Up. Meet with other similar-aged attendees to discuss what you are learning and observing at SXSW. Share which sessions have impacted you and what you hope to take away from the event. We’ll also talk about experiences in your work environment. Scheduled for March 13. This session is a counterpoint for the 25 and Under Meet Up, which is an encore of one of the most popular sessions from SXSW 2017.
  2. Better Healthcare Through Patient-Centered Design Meet Up. Connect with entrepreneurs, health tech professionals, developers and designers to exchange ideas about how patient-centered design can help meaningfully move the needle on healthcare costs and outcomes. Scheduled for March 12.
  3. Cinematic Virtual Reality Meet Up. This Meet Up will allow pioneers to get their questions answered through discussions focused on six challenging areas: capturing 360 video and volumetric live-action content; video-based post production; spatial audio; VR as a storytelling medium; and the future of cinematic VR. Scheduled for March 13.
  4. Creative Failures Meet Up. Join Mark Knowles as he talks about his failures, the embarrassing conversations that happened when his treatments were completely wrong, and the good he was able to (eventually) glean from those moments. Scheduled for March 10. And if you like the lemons-to-lemonade approach, then be sure to also attend the Fuckup Nights (SXSW Edition) Meet Up.
  5. Facebook Live Broadcasters Meet Up. Whether you’re promoting a Fortune 500 company, building a small business, or just working a side hustle Facebook Live is paramount to the cultivation of community and creating an engaged following for your brand. Come join DIYNetwork.com’s Jennifer Perkins, and Facebook Live niche series pioneer Vickie Howell along with others to share tips and tricks on staying current in an ever-evolving medium. Scheduled for March 11.
  6. I Speak Code Meet Up. Join other programmers at SXSW to discuss the latest trends in software and the industry as a whole without the fear of getting too technical. We’re a rare breed who need to stick together — creatives who love their job and love to work hard. Scheduled for March 11.
  7. The State of Open Data Meet Up. This session brings together all levels of government employees and the technology sector to explore how to develop and expand programs that deliver public information to constituents via an open data platform in a machine-readable format. Scheduled for March 9.
  8. Women in Creative Industry Meet Up. Speaking to SXSW’s ethos of cross-industry collaboration and community, our Women In Creative Industry meet up will provide space for resource-sharing and valuable discussion between women entrepreneurs, freelancers, artists, business-owners, musicians and side hustlers. Scheduled for March 10.
