When Amy and I had life dinner on March 1st, we were both tired after a three-week trip to Boston, Miami, and Atlanta. The leaders have been remarkable and I continue to learn about leadership by working closely with them. As we discussed the potential impact of Covid, we talked about the current state of things in the US.

Let’s be real… I was raised in the suburbs of Atlanta, Georgia and I had a privileged upbringing. Right after that trip, I decided I was going to leave Atlanta and explore a new city. I went to private school and played on club sports teams. The people around me were very white and very conservative.

When the night is over and you’ve made new friends, go home and watch Housewives of Atlanta – it’s your secret. Avoid being labeled as startup from a “special group” program.
