I remember very early on when Baltimore turned Giving Tuesday into BMore Gives More--Baltimore Gives More. They decided they were going to make it all about how generous Baltimore is. Rapid experimentation isn’t something that’s just entrepreneurial, it's actually what the best mobilizers do.

Our investments focus heavily on the financial services industry, digital media, mobile applications & infrastructure, SaaS / Cloud and retail innovation. Our other big wins came from Chicago (Ulta & Envestnet), Baltimore (BillMeLater), New York (DealerTrack) & LA (TrueCar). And we’re not restricted to territories.

As impressive as Apple’s revenue growth is, there are five companies expected to become the next Apple in the near future: Skyworks Solutions Success With IoT, Mobile Payments and Connectivity. The Skyworks Solutions growth is largely due to its key involvement in IoT, payments on mobile devices, and Internet connectivity.

Here’s a new one – social discovery mobile app Woofound ( www.woofound.com ) matches a user’s personality and recommends activities suited for them. Founded in April 2011, Baltimore-based Woofound so far has raised $1,175,000 in angel investment. It currently has fifteen full-time employees.
