SuperMac sold our graphic boards for the Macintosh through multiple distribution channels: direct sales to major accounts, national chains, independent rep firms, etc. But the computer retail channel was a large part of our sales. Oh yes, and retail sales doubled with the new product packaging.

It has been reported that online sales are growing now faster than those in the United States but what is even more important is the fact that ecommerce in Brazil is growing but brick-and-mortar retailers are slowing down.

He had studied business at Harvard and was an executive in the startup that built the first railroad from Brazil’s agricultural heartland to Sao Paulo. He was on full sales alert. I didn’t close 100% to sales, but those relationships have yielded a lot more than a simple close. If I could, I would dive in there.

Thus, we did not translate the product and sales remained at an insignificant level. Translation not only increases sales, but in many countries it is required by law. Some years ago Brazil had a major balance of payments deficit. Therefore Brazil made it difficult to import products from abroad. Local laws prevail.
