Next-generation, technology-enhanced approaches to health emerged as one of the biggest trends at SXSW 2017. In addition to dozens of panels and presentations on this topic, two of the event’s most impactful speakers covered this topic: CRISPR co-founder Jennifer Doudna and Joe Biden of the Cancer Moonshot project.

Learn more about the health and healthcare of tomorrow at the Austin Forum on Tuesday, April 4 at 5:45 pm at Galvanize (119 Nueces St). This edition of the monthly lecture series will feature the wisdom and wit of Mini Kahlon. Pictured above, she currently serves as the Vice Dean for Strategy and Partnerships at the University of Texas Dell Medical School.

For her presentation, Kahlon will focus on how Dell Med is not just another medical school: it is an agent of transformation. It is a ground-up reinvention of what a medical school can do to revolutionize the way people get and stay healthy. Dell Med envisions a vital, inclusive health ecosystem that can only be achieved through widespread innovation. The school is finding new ways to work with the community, develop effective new healthcare solutions, and deliver those solutions to people who need them. Dell Med is not simply expanding the pipeline of physicians in Austin and Texas — it’s transforming that pipeline by training healthcare professionals to be leaders and innovators.

In addition to gaining more knowledge about one of most important additions to the city of Austin’s innovation ecosystem, attend the Tuesday, April 4 edition of the Austin Forum to be eligible to win a free badge for SXSW 2018 (March 9–17). Registration for this event is free and easy — so sign up now to reserve your spot!
