Doki Doki will be donating to the Stand With Austin Fund and the NFB of Texas

Doki Doki announced today that they have raised over $15,000 through their Raise Your Voice campaign for the Stand with Austin Fund and the National Federation of the Blind of Texas. The donation included a contribution from Subaru Holdings, a Japanese firm working to promote the use of braille business cards.

“We will continue working to make a real impact on the lives of blind and visually-impaired people.”

— Takahito Iguchi, Doki Doki CEO

The National Federation of the Blind is the oldest and largest nationwide organization of blind Americans. They are headquartered in Baltimore, but the NFB consists of affiliates, chapters, and divisions in all fifty states, as well as the District of Columbia and Puerto Rico. The National Federation of the Blind provides advocacy services for blind adults who are experiencing issues related to accessibility, quality training, and employment. They also advocate for the rights of blind children in the education system and operate a scholarship program that provides scholarships for blind students who are attending colleges or universities.

“Members of the National Federation of the Blind of Texas really appreciate this support,” said NFB Texas affiliate president Norma Crosby. “Our contributors help raise expectations and turn dreams into reality for blind children and adults in Texas.”

“We want to support the blind community who have embraced Dabel as a place to talk and make friends,” Doki Doki CEO Takahito Iguchi said. “We will continue working to make a real impact on the lives of blind and visually-impaired people.”

Supporting Small Businesses Hurt by SXSW Cancellation

A donation will also be made to the Stand with Austin Fund, which was created as a unified place to receive charitable donations to support the individuals and small businesses most negatively impacted by the cancellation of this year’s SXSW. The fund was created by the Austin Community Fund to help those in the Austin community that are least able to recover on their own.
