Maker Faire is a family-friendly gathering of fascinating, curious people who enjoy learning and who love sharing what they can do. From engineers to artists to scientists to crafters, Maker Faire is a venue for these “makers” to show hobbies, experiments, projects.

Makers range from tech enthusiasts to crafters to homesteaders to scientists to garage tinkerers. They are of all ages and backgrounds. The aim of Maker Faire is to entertain, inform, connect and grow this community.

The fun comes to the Palmer Events Center in Austin on the weekend of Saturday, May 5 and Sunday, May 6. The event runs from 10:00 am to 6:00 pm on both of these days.

Tickets for Maker Faire Austin range from $12 (for single day youth) to $42 (for a Ford Patron Weekend Pass). Buy tickets online or purchase at the door.

Or, if you want like to get more involved, volunteers are still needed. You must be 12 years old or older to volunteer. Volunteers 12–17 must have a parent of guardian volunteering for the same shift.
