In my case, I grew up in Connecticut and spent a fair amount of time in New York – all the while trying to start companies, relatively unsuccessfully. Height has a pretty tight, normal distribution. The ecosystem is just hard to beat. The result is that you’ll be exposed to many more people who can help you get started.
