Reaching all of Texas in 2019 with webinars and podcasts

It’s been more than a year since we a launched the Texas Startup Manifesto and six months since we opened our Dallas office in partnership with The DEC — and it’s going great! We’ve doubled the percentage of startups we are working with from Dallas, Houston and San Antonio form 2017 to 2018 and also started working with family offices across the state. In 2019, we’re going to start reaching out past the major metros to try and include the suburbs and also the many smaller cities in Texas that are full of talented entrepreneurs.

One of the ways we’re doing this is by trying out webinar versions of our popular Ask Me Anything (AMA) series that we do in person every week in Austin and on our road trips around the state. AMA’s are accessible, welcoming environments for people who are new to the community to learn and connect with others. We have a regular set of AMA’s that we host on Tuesdays and then often do one-off AMA’s with a specific focus and every week we get 30 or 40 new attendees.

Our first two webinars are this Tuesday with one focused on Fundraising followed by another on Defense Innovation. Please help us spread the word to entrepreneurs in Fort Worth, Plano, Cedar Park, Round Rock, San Marcos, Sealy, Amarillo, Brownsville, El Paso and other Texas cities where it’s not convenient to attend in person. We’re trying to show you some love!

Over the next few weeks we’ll be launching the first episodes of the Austinpreneur Podcast featuring interviews with the entrepreneurs, investors, and innovators who walk through our doors every day. You can listen to a preview episode that’s up there now and Subscribe so that you get the next episode as soon as it is released.

We’ll keep looking for ways to make our community more accessible no matter where in Texas you live or what your schedule is. Leave a comment and let us know how else you’d like to hear from us!
