We retired our in-house i7-2600K hardware environment for Round 10, and we changed our Amazon EC2 environment to c3.large Go remains a strong performer in the smaller-server scenario as demonstrated by our EC2 c3.large These contributions have improved the project''s toolset and added many new framework test implementations.

EC2 - The Elastic Compute Cloud Service EC2 is essentially a grid in the box. You then can ask EC2 to start instances with your configuration on the fly. S3/EC2 for storing and serving file blocks. have serious security problems and seem to be able to weather a small PR storm. For those that are curious about what we chose and why, the software we used was: Python for virtually everything; not more than a couple thousand lines of C. nginx for the frontend server. 5:46pm |.

Jackie: I would recommend instead Amazons EC2 and S3 platforms. That said, I dont think EC2 is reliable enough to depend upon, and the entire reputation of a startup can hinge on that. If our aim was to raise financing and employ these people directly, we’d have burnt through $5-7 million before launch.

Maybe it is a publicly accessible staging server at EC2 spun up by a developer who has since left the company and not shut down because, hey, $20 a month.
