Q2 2022 portfolio in review

It’s hard to believe we are halfway through another year…and the past three months have certainly been a bit of a rollercoaster. The thing about mission-driven founders, though, is they continue to build even during market uncertainty. When you’ve got a clear point of focus, you keep moving forward despite the surrounding turbulence. As Version One turned 10 last month, we reflected about how lucky we are to work with incredible mission-driven founders – and challenging times like this bolster our gratitude.

With that said, here’s a round up of just some of the activity happening within the V1 family this past quarter!

Funding and Accolades

Brennan Spellacy, CEO of Patch, was named to the 2022 GreenBiz 30 under 30 list. Brennan, and the entire Patch team, are on a mission to scale the carbon removal industry to reach giga-tonne scale carbon sequestration.

Booster raised $125M in Series D funding led by Rose Park Advisors, with companies including Mitsubishi Corp. and Renewable Energy Group joining the round.

Flow launched a $725M blockchain development fund with A16z, Digital Currency Group, and other investors. The joint venture will support Flow’s 7,500+ developers with accelerators and incubators, investments and FLOW token grants.

Remio raised $4.5M in a new round of funding to expand its VR team-building platform.
