Don’t Give Up On You

I’ll give you the punchline first. If I listened to people before writing my first book, I wouldn’t be where I am today. Second punchline – if you have a dream, go for it. Please.

“No one needs another accounting book.” That was the response I got from someone when I had my idea for Profit First. Apparently, they were wrong.

Here’s the thing, if I had listened to critics and naysayers, there are seven small business books that never would have been published. To date, Profit First alone has saved hundreds of thousands of businesses worldwide. I get emails from readers of all of my books explaining how they take profit, grow and pick only the best clients, and are able to automate their business. None of that would have come from me had I listened to the one or two people scrunching their noses at my big ideas.

If you have an idea or an offering that you know can help others in business or otherwise, it’s your duty to get it out there. Critics will always be around, but they’re not the doers, they won’t be the helpers.

You will.

Whatever you do, don’t give up on yourself. Go for your dreams.
