Austin Welcomes HelloFund, a Nonprofit Fundraising Startup to its Portfolio
Austin, Texas June 1, 2018 — HelloFund, a 100% responsive mobile and online fundraising platform, launched today in Austin. With over 10 years of experience in the nonprofit sector, the Austin-native founder, Phil Sanger, alongside co-founder, Mike Lacourse, built the platform with the best interests of nonprofits in-mind. Using HelloFund, organizations can swiftly and effectively create custom pages for crowdfunding, event tickets, recurring payments, membership dues, etc., to suit the individual needs of each group.
HelloFund was formed out of a need the founders saw in the market; other companies that provide similar services either charge an annual or monthly fee, or a high credit card processing and service fee. HelloFund takes just 1% on top of standard credit card processing fees, staying true to their tag-line, “[They] take less, so you can do more!” In addition to the flexibility, HelloFund offers in allowing each organization to create a multitude of custom pages, the platform also allows users to choose whether to incur the credit card processing and service fee or pass them onto the donor.
Mike Lacourse, HelloFund’s web developer guru, worked with Phil on their first venture, ATX Giving — a payment processing solution for galas and fundraisers. The insights learned from developing ATX Giving and receiving feedback from their nonprofit customers and partners, helped the HelloFund founders create something very special for individuals and organizations around the country; a more user-friendly, customizable platform at a lower cost than their competitors.
